    How Do I Dress Myself Again?

    I genuinely don’t know how to dress myself, and that’s fine. It is fun though, to imagine how I can dress myself without actually having to do it. What I do know is that pink, white and black go together. That’s what I think, anyways. This outfit also just felt right. It is simple, not flashy, so it should work on a random trip to the grocery store, a nice walk, or hanging out at a dessert store with friends. If anyone feels up to it, they can purchase these items at a relatively cheap price, too. These items came from Old Navy, Marshalls and Walmart.

    White Tank Top

    $8.00

    The price was rounded up, but even then, eight dollars for 3 tank tops is really cheap in todays economy. These tank tops are from Old Navy. It is of great comfort to wear a light sleeveless shirt. White tank tops are also plain, so they’re very versatile. You could wear these as undershirts or with almost anything else in your closet. For the cost and versatility, this is a great piece to have in your closet.

    Black Cardigan

    $36.00

    This cardigan from Old Navy looks very warm, ideal for when Winter hits. It will also protect your bare arms underneath. Cardigans are loose, very comfortable in general. This is also a versatile piece to have in your closet because black also goes with nearly anything. Black and white together is especially cool. The color will also slim you down a bit so wear it with confidence!

    Pink Pants

    $30.00

    The last piece in this outfit recommendation is also from Old Navy and it is a really nice and light colored pink. It is loose fitting so it will be very comfortable. Pink goes really well with black and white so if you have clothing items in these shades, feel free to throw in this pair, too. Versatility makes for a cheaper closet.

    Do you know what is better than one pair of socks? Two pairs of socks! We all like buying things that come in multiples for a small price. It isn’t a one and done situation either. These socks can be worn with many other outfits because they’re just socks. Black socks and pink pants might look nice. They will also look nice with black pants. Sometimes, you can’t even see your socks because of the length of your pants. You just need to wear socks to prevent your shoes from smelling rotten too fast.

    At Walmart, you can get a pair of white shoes for cheap. White, pink and black look really nice together. These shoes, like every other piece of clothing item can be very versatile. You can wear these pairs of shoes with almost anything and everything.

    For a grand total of $135.00, you have yourself a whole outfit. And that might even be a couple of cents more because I rounded a few of these items to a whole dollar. It’s not bad, this price. And it’s not even that you have to wear these items with each other only. For this price, you may have opened your entire closet to a whole bunch of other mix-and-match options. Remember folks, this is just a blog post about an outfit idea. You can like it. Or, you can not. Doesn’t matter, really. Have fun styling yourself!

    Getting enough sleep is essential for your health. Without a good night’s rest, you won’t have the ability to function throughout your day. You’ll just feel too tired. Not well focused. And probably not in your best mood. Well, besides these effects from lack of sleep – let’s bring you the bright side of good quality sleep. Did you know good quality sleep contributes to healthier skin?

Therefore, mental health can worsen if you are not getting sufficient sleep and these include anxiety, depression, confusion, behavior changes, and stress. 

    Boost Brighter Appearance:

    Though a good skincare routine plays a vital role in maintaining a youthful complexion, not getting the sufficient hours of sleep (7-9 hours) reduces the results of healthier skin. Sleep is the best time for skin to repair, especially the body to heal itself. During sleep, blood flow is increased allowing skin to rejuvenate from day’s exposure to ultraviolet radiation, which damages DNA skin cells and the risk of skin cancer, for instance. What’s more? Good quality sleep boosts collagen production, reduces breakouts, improves clearer skin, moisturizes skin, and more.

It is time to unlearn this single version of what beauty means. Take that power back and define beauty under your own terms, self love is the best kind of love.

    In a society that constantly pushes impossible and ever changing beauty standards, it can be difficult to understand what beauty means to us. The thing about beauty is that it is everywhere! Beauty does not have to look a certain way, be a certain color, have a certain shape, sound a certain way. Beauty is what you decide it is, much like art. The simple fact that someone disagrees with you should not discourage you from believing that something or someone is beautiful. That is the first thing to know about defining beauty, not everyone will agree with you and that is ok because they do not have to. 

    I find beauty in the unconventional, the experimental. The world would be quite boring if everything and everyone in it looked the same. We would not have much to be inspired from. Beauty is inspiration and it is limitless. I find beauty in my culture, in music, in knowledge, in community, in people, in my everyday observations. We are quick to judge but if we take a closer look and remain open-minded, we are bound to find something we may find beautiful. Beauty is not superficial, beauty is also held within. Your thoughts, your kind gestures and your knowledge contribute greatly to how you present yourself to the world. Be kind to yourself, always.

    Acknowledging further, beauty is evident in people’s actions and how people treat each other (Sartwell, 2012). Compassion, resiliency, and authenticity (Sartwell, 2012). This is apparent in a beaming smile, warm presence, or a spirited demeanor.

    As one grows up, one may notice that beauty is not just about conformity. It is all about shattering the stereotype and being beautiful based on one’s definition. People begin to notice beauty in simple yet touching gestures like a comforting hug or the warmth in a smile exchanged between strangers.

    Secondly, beauty covers the surrounding environment and experiences as well. It is in a stunning sunset, a work of art that provokes one, or a tune that touches the heart. Within the kindness of strangers, the resiliency of communities, and the steadfastness of those who aspire to a better world.

    This implies that beauty is a personal and dynamic thing that changes with time. People who understand beauty is more than being physically attractive allow themselves to see and embrace its many facets. Strengths, vulnerabilities, victories, and struggles are what beauty is about.
